New here and appreciate any and all help.

I have a 2003 silverado, the AC belt snapped on me and i replaced it and the serpetine belt. Now the AC tensioner pulley started slapping against the belt making a chattering noise, but only when the AC is on. Today i replaced the AC tensioner to find it still doing the same thing.

I had something similar happen to my Silverado. Turned out that when I bought the new serpentine belt, Autozone gave the wrong belt. It was just a bit too long.

 

As oldchevy said check the belt as it sound like the belt is too loose and causing the chatter.
