Default valve chatter!?

Well i am new to the forum but have had my tahoe for almost 2 years now and love it but am having a problem that my service dept. is kinda just brushing off....so i would like to hear what some of you have to say.
I have a 07 4wd ltz with 43000 miles on it, i bought it new and yes i drive alot. Well about 3 months ago the steering rack had to be replaced and i told the tech then that i thought i heard valve chatter...he drove it and said he could not hear it. Well it is now very noticable, and now the tech says he hears it a little but no biggie....i notice the chatter mainly when i am accelerating from holding a constant speed, and it is quite loud, and goes away as soon as i get off the gas, the other pieces to this puzzle are that it will not do it when the truck is idel and i rev the motor. Also when the truck drops to 4 cyl now i feel noticable jerks and vibration changes. Last peice i guess would be i have always run 93 octane and have only had royal purple and mobile one oil from mile 20 when i picked up the car.....if anyone can offer any advise it would be greatly appreaciated.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. First I'm curious as to why you're running 93 oct. Do you have a progammer that requires it? If not then IMO, it's a waste.

By valve chatter do you mean lifter noise? Or is it more like pinging or knock? Since you are noticing V4 mode problems also, probably need to get dealer service.

I started running 93 when i bought it out of habbit from my old car and so just kept on. The noise is well i guess like something is slappin against something else. I have had the dealer involved for 3 months with no luck.
