Default Texas Edition?

I'm new to the forum and am thinking about buying a chevrolet silverado. But I had a question about a Texas Edition. When I try pricing it on Edmunds.com under the LT Trim Level, it shows that it is a no-cost option. Is this just a glitch or is there a charge for this option?? Also, I wanted some opinions from people about their trucks and how reliable/unreliable they may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default Texas Edition

Hello Goku,

I have a 2011, Texas Edition Silverado. On the sale sheet the TE is $3970.00, then they gave a TE discount of $1995.00. This maybe some of what you are asking about.

I only have 8000 miles on my truck, and the truck is working great.

I just returned from a short trip of about 300 miles and got 19 + miles per gallon, but around town I get between 14 and 15 mpg.

Thanks Doug and skeeter! Appreciate the information.....I go by my dad's motto "nothing is free in this world" so that's why I wanted to be sure. Haha! It seems odd how edmunds didn't put a price on it. But I'm thinking about taking a Silverado crew cab for another test drive and compare it against some other trucks and see what happens. Thanks again!!! Keep the opinions coming!!
