I have a 2001 Silverado 5.3. I was thinking about buying a throttle body spacer. Has anyone tried one on a 5.3? What kind of results did you get?

 

dont know about the 5.3
but on my 96 5.7 i saw just short of 2 mpg better and deff felt lower end torch
and now on my 07 6.0 i seen about 1 mpg and lower end torch as well.

yeah I have seen a 1-2 mpg gain. I have 99 one ton with the vortec 7.4L Some claim to see no diff if you look at this forum and others. The theory behind the spacers claim more torque which seems to be true wiht my truck.

 

i have a 2000 5.3 with one didnt really notice any mpg dut definatly the torque

 

i have one on my 6.0 2500hd 06 model didnt feel anything no mpg or torque just whistle
