ticking in 4.8 vortec
my truck is a 01 Silverado that has a tick when it first starts I believe it has something to do with the lifters bit I'm not sure it goes away after it gets warmed up but I still want to get it fixed does anyone know how to fix it

Probably is a lifter. Might want to run one of the products made for cleaning up lifters, like CD2.or a similar oil additive. If that doesn't work, you'll likely need to adjust the rockers.
