Ditch the programmer...it's not doin anything for you honestly. And TB spacers haven't worked since carbed motors were on the road. Headers are a great choice however. They open up these LS motors to breathe a lol better. You'll need to get your o2 sensors tuned out via a custom tune(blackbear, Wheatley, or Nelson) to run em without a SES light.
