Tire Pressure Monitor System
#3
I was told by my dealer that my system could be reprogramed for different tire sizes but not for pressure, which to me seems totally stupid since different tire sizes can take different pressures. Not to mention different load ranges will have different pressures.

or, have the sensor turned off and do it the old fashioned way of taking 30 seconds once a month to walk to each tire and check it by hand. Problem solved?

Your 2500(HD I'm guessing?) has the ten-ply 80PSI rated E-radials. Or it did at one time, hence the high pressure rating on the TPMS . 60PSI is the recommended pressure for these tires at the front of the vehicle.
