Default tire size?

I recently bought a 2008 Chevy crewcab Z71 LT It has 22 inch wheels with performance tires on it at this time. I want more of the 4wd look but not the monster truck look. The truck is not lifted but has a leveling kit. Was thinking of going with 285/65/18 as I want more tire between the rim and the road. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Most likely going with the Toyo Open Country or the Nitto Terra Grappler.

The size you want is good.. I work in a tire shop and in my opinion the best truck tires are Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.. good aggressive look, but not overly so, wear real good (my boss and another mechanic have them on a Durango and an F-150 and after a year they still almost look new) and they are not noisy at highway speeds like some aggressive tread patterns are. Expensive though.. cheaper option could be Cooper Discoverer ATRs.

Big tires belong on a truck, not big gangster wheels!
