Default Tire sizing help!!

The tires on my truck say 285/70R15 on them. What do the numbers mean? What is the biggest tire I can get?

you got approximately a 30" tire on now... I had 31.5" stock on my '06 1500LT. I put on a leveling kit and was able to go up to 33". 285 is the width of your tire in millimeters. 70 is the sidewall height (70% of the 285mm). 15 is the size wheel size.
