Default torsion keys, do i need new or crank old ones?

I have a 99 z71 extended cab with the 5.3. I'm not looking to jack up to the sky I just want to give a cooler look by sitting the front up two inches or what ever it takes to get it level which i think is a inch and a half. I know it can be as simple as cranking down on my stock keys, but will it give it enough lift or should i purchase new ones. I don't know if tightening the stock ones is putting too much stress on the front end and thats why I need to get new ones or what. Also, if i tighten up the stock ones to level, how terrible is my truck going to ride. I appreciate any advice you guys can give me on what I should do get a few inches in the front.

Cranking up the stock keys should be able to give you what your looking for. I cranked mine up and ended up buying the shock extension brackets off of eBay because it stretched my shocks out to their limit. Cranked keys- free, shock extensions $25.00. Try it, if it's not enough then buy keys. All a leveling key does is reclock the torsion bar to a tighter position. Example- image a mark at 12 o'clock on the torsion bar, as you crank the key up the bar twists and that mark may be at 4 o'clock all the way up / now put in a leveling key and what was a 12 o'clock starting position is now a 2 o'clock starting position and may adjust to a 5 o'clock position all the way up. Why pay for this when you can crank your originals for free? As for ride, it is stiffer even with new shocks on it than before, but to me it rides like a truck should now.

you'll need an alignment either way, changing ride height changes alignment angles
