Default Trailer Brake Controller

Which Trailer Brake Controller do I choose? There are so many different brands to choose from, which ones have worked best for you.

I used the basic version from Drawtite on my 06 Silverado and my 07 Escalade, it is very basic but has adjustment for braking power and response delay. It also has a slide button that will provide braking to the trailer without stepping on the brake pedal. It cost about $100. and will control 2 braking axles.

Four years ago I found a brake controller from a company called Innovative Electronics Inc. This controller is trailer mounted with a wireless remote and we have it mounted to our 25ft Jayco travel trailer. The great thing about the controller is it installs in 10 minutes. My wife takes the trailer out to campsites 90 percent of the time and like it because she does not have to make adjustments at all. It is self- adjusting. The most important thing is that she love it. Smooth stopping. Works great. Website www.innovativeelectronicsinc.net
