take it to a hitch supply store or dealer. have them install a proportional brake controller. preferably a unit with a clip mount so you don't have to drill holes in your knee bolster. It will be in the $250 range installed from a hitch store, more at the dealer.

Thanks tech 2, that's my line of thinking too. I'll just have the RV place put it on where I'll get my camper. The people replying at Chevrolet Customer Care must be going off of a script.
