what to hook up to get power back to the plug for aux lights inside my trailer? My truck has the factory brake contoller, and I hooked up the wire that was taped up and that didn't send power back to the plug?

I know on the Tahoe's there is a wire that is also taped up under the hood to provide power to the trailer harness, should be red and have a ring terminal on it right under the brake booster

i am not sure about the factory installed brake control but usually you have to install a 40 amp fuse to activate the circuit ,check your owners manual first for location .here is a good copy from e trailer on their controller installation and they talk about just adding a fuse at the very end of the article .you can also e-mail them to see if they can help you .
