Unhappy trans pan

94 c1500 4l60e.
changed the filter on the transmission . now can't get the pan back on . have the tail shaft jacked up as far as it will go.
is there some thing i'm missing or some trick to just put it back on.
it came off why not back on.

Did you put in the correct filter? There is a long neck and a short neck depending on what pan you have.

Pull the filter and see if that pan will then go up in there. If so, check the filter neck length.

A '94 "should" take the short necked filter.
