hi, i have a 1990 chevy silverado 4X4 that had a original 6,2 D with a th700r4 trans. but i have now a 6,5 TD with the same trans, (i have rebuild the trans with brog warner kit and MR shift it and some other stuff) i have a trans temp on normal driving 170 - 180 F and on the higway 180 - 190F. if i race it
i hit 210 F. Is this normal temp on the trans or is it to high? and what is the max temp the oil can take befor it gets bad. i also have the biggest oil cooler form flex a lite.

Anything under 270° is fine and they usually run in at 170-220°.
At 305°, the adhesive that holds the clutch material to the plates will break down and she' comes unraveled.
