I have a 2004 Silerado 1500 Z71 with a 6.3 lt. engine. I am getting conflicting information on a problem i am having and am hoping to get some insight from someone else. My trouble is when in 4 wheel drive the front tires seem to want to lock up. With a little more gas it will push through but is very jerky. I realize there should be some resistance before the limited slip kicks in but is much worse than that. Have been told it is the trans case and have been told it is the CV joints. The expenence for the trans case is very high and would like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem before i put out the cash to have trans case removed and checked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
