I have a 1995 Chevrolet Truck K1500 1/2ton P/U 4WD 5.7L. Here lately when it is hot out and I start it the speedometer and tachometer don't work. But it is cool. When that happens it is a very hard shift into reverse. Now a new problem, I took it out on the highway got up to 70 and noticed that it didn't shift into any other gear. It stayed in 1st. So I got off the highway. I checked the transmission fluid and it is ok no burn smell or anything. Truck has 250,000 miles transmission has about 100,000 on it. Keep it serviced regularly. Not sure what else to try.
