so on my way home from work today my transmission was working like it was in 2nd while in drive and then it would all of a sudden shift fairly hard. i know i need to change the fluid in it, could this be caused by dirty/old trany fluid? im hoping i dont have to get it fixed yet cuz thats expensive. let me know please!!

Which trans do you have, if it's a 700r4, the T.V. Cable may be out of adjustment.

Yes, the T.V. cable can do that. Do you have a 4-speed trans?

Thats a 700r4. I would suggest flushing it.
