Could someone confirm whether a cap from a '99 or earlier '90's, 6 1/2' shortbed, will fit a 2005 6 1/2' shortbed? Any info on caps newer or older that would fit 2005 6 1/2' shortbed would be most appreciated. Thanks!!

 

I'd venture a guess that they wouldn't be compatible unless the body styles were identical. The cap for the new body stlye of my '07 wasn't available for well over 6 months from the time I ordered it. The cap manufacturers (Nomad)were still working at getting the mold right. Even the cap from an '07GMC is slightly different accoding to the dealer here and it wouldn't be fully compatible with my truck.
