I'm not sure what is goin on with my truck. It is the 95 extended cab silverado and whenever i hit the gas the engine cuts out every once in a while. I just replaced the fuel filter and that didn't fix it. Any suggestions?

Check the fuel sending unit, I'd wager that is the culprit and in need of replacing.

Just fixed the same problem on my brother in law's 93/94 ford ranger, was doing the same thing.

If you dont know anything about the trucks history, if you bought it used...all BS aside, I would put a fuel pump on it now. Both of my used Chevy/GMC trucks ended needing a fuel pump, one a 92, one a 93. Its $45 bucks... You might as well go ahead and do it. You dont have to drop the tank, you dont have to remove the bed either, There are videos on YouTube that show how cut a hole right above it, in the bed. Save the peice of metal you cut away, put some hinges on it, and put it back on. Sounds like a big mess, but its the easiest way. Otherwise you can lay on your back with 23 gallons of fuel in the tank, and try to let it down onto the driveway.
