I've recently picked up a 99' Z71 that had its engine replaced but as this truck has gone thru 3rd owner and the engine was swapped prior, they don't know what year or size engine.

Now, I've found a stamping by the engine oil filler which reads
12556642.

Can anyone tell me if this is the right stamp # or do I need to look somewhere else?
