Default Turn Signal

I have a 2000 Silverado. The turn signal works correctly but the clicking is almost constant even after you turn off the signal. I replaced the relay but that did not correct the problem. My mechanic said he hasn't seen this one before. Could it be a short in the wiring? It is driving me crazy listening to the clicking almost continously. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alvisk

Thanks Golfer. That was what I was afraid of. That can't be cheap.
