Default unknown part

Well while rooting around in my dash i had this piece drop out, my dad nor i could find anywhere it should be hooked up to, decided to head over to the dealership to see if they could look it up, there system couldnt pull up the part number (the lady said it was too old) driving a 1992 c2500 it hasnt changed since this part came out, there are some numbers on the end of the part, and the contacts at the open end look as if they havent been connected in awhile considering the dust coating them, about the only thing that is noticeably not working on my truck is my cruise control but i dont know if that is part of it, hopefuly with the pictures someone could answer this riddle.

can you post a pic of the connector side? it looks like it might possibly be the chime box... are your door and key chimes working?

Door chimes are working just fine, the only thing that is not working is my cruise control, and my stereo kicks out but there is nowhere that thing goes by my stereo, but here is a picture of the connector. By the look of the contacts it hasnt been plugged in for quite some time since it had quite a bit of dust on the contacts.

I believe the cruse control module is located under the hood on the firewall for that year (recalling my 93 stepside 1500) thou I could be wrong.

Well i guess i will have to swing by autozone on my way to work today since the dealership is useless when it comes to vehicles from the early 90's

You could try sliding out the circuit board and see if any of the components give you a clue....
