Default 07 Bluetooth Phone part of OEM part help please

Hello - I have an 07 Tahoe 3LT and I was wondering if Chevrolet or any aftermarket company offered a Bluetooth part that intigrates with our onstar or speaker sytem and mics.... I want to use my blue tooth phone and I am really surprised this is not standard in these cars. Its standard in my dad 2007 Dodge ram SLT base model HAHA.. If anyone has suggestions, help, or links to ones they have used or know work well please let me know. I hate that our phone service is tied through VErizon and I use Tmobile... THanks for any help!

Chevy doesnt include bluetooth due to the fact they support On-Star dialing. Call it what you want..but if Chevy included bluetooth, their phone service would NEVER get purchased.

Anyway, Coastal Tech makes a lockpick for On-Star and allows you to add an aftermarket BT kit seemlessly.

What is a good blue tooth kit, as he references in the demonstration? I know nothing about any of this but would like to be able to make calls over the speakers. So I buy the gm onstar lockpick, then I need this bluetooth kit? Can someone direct me to one please. Thanks.

First you'll need a bluetooth enabled phone. Take a look at the Motorola or Parrot ones that he mentions in the video.

I have Treo 700wx! So I have Bluetooth capable phone.

I looked at both the ones that lockpick mentions. It seems the parrot one is the nicer of the two! I was looking at the 3200 LS-COLOR. Where, and how could this be mounted in our 2007 tahoes? Anyone have something similar mounted anywhere?

Look harder at the Parrot. Generally better Bluetooth stuff than what Motorola sells... The 3100 is all you need and it works great with the Coastaltech interface...

I've got the lockpick, I know a lot of others on here do also. It's a great product, I'm not exactly a technical guru and was able to install it in about ten minutes sitting in a parking lot with nothing but a screwdriver. Other than that it works as advertised. I don't have the bluetooth yet, but would like to get it, as the onstar minutes are a bit expensive. I will say this though, the onstar phone seems to work when my POS Nextel never has coverage.

Does anyone know if you can use the Onstar Mic with the lockpick and one of those Parrot Modules? Does anyone have this set up?? I'm looking for a clean install for my 07 Cobalt SS.

Thanks.
