loud grinding noise
I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd. when I'm driving i hear a slight grinding noise but when the wheel is turned slightly to the left it gets extremely loud. it has a new wheel hub and bearing and i was told by a mechanic that it sounded like a cv axle so i replaced that and it still persists. the truck doesn't even have to be turning its just if I'm very slightly turning the wheel to the left while still driving in a straight line. when the wheel is turned to the left it make a constant grinding noise with a kind of womp womp womp womp. its coming from the front drivers side area and i have no idea what it could be at this point. it seems like it could be a steering component due to the noise getting way worse when the wheel is turning to the left but it also sounds like its coming from a spinning component since the noise gets faster at higher speeds
