Default Vortech and NON Vortech 350

My Father has a 95 NON Vortech 350 which has bit the dust. He has found a 96 Vortech for a good price. We need to know what the differences are between the two engines.

Can we take the Vortech block and put the NON Vortech heads and throttle bottle Intake on the block and be fine?

If we drop the Vortech complete engine into the Non Vortech truck will the computer need to be changed?

Not sure what else to ask but please drop me a line if you know anything about the differences in the two engines/ECMs

Thanks,
gp

You would need the computer and harness......and fuel pump....if you planned on swapping the complete vortec into the tbi truck....

You can just put your tbi heads and manifolds on the vortec block and call it a day....

Thanks for the info.... I think the tbi top end dropped on the vortech block would be the easiest route.

Thanks,
