Wanna mount a PTO log splitter to my rear bumper.

There is no good reason why you should or could not mount this splitter.
I'm installing a mini-crane with a winch in the back of my bed. It folds up over the driver side wheel well so I can still load the truck with 4X8 plywood. I even attached a cheap winch to it. It picks up @ 300lbs.
Ah boy, NOW you got me talking about my audio system. The console seat was a total waste, so I removed it.(The "20" part of a 40/20/40 front.) Now I've got an amp mounted on a platform, with a mondo storage console to follow shortly.
The only questions are how it will finally be done, and what you need to reinforce to make it dependable. It looks like you already have it mostly done. It looks good so far.
