I have a 93 GMC, with a chrome bumper. I am going to do the black-out spray on the headlights/tail-lights instead of buying the high dollar covers. (is this a bad idea..please tell me) I want to black-out the bumper and the grill. But, I want the paint to stick. What type of paint, and what preparation do I need? Some of you would ask why in THE HELL I am painting over chrome, but I am going for a certain look I have in my head.

 

I dont know if paint is really the answer here..powdercoating..is really the way to do it
