weird idle and slight loss of power (1995 chevy k1500 v8)
I feel so bad for hitting a hole in the road the other day, it made my truck start making a deep sputter, had lost power right away, sounded bad too. It felt like I blew a rear tire which I thought I did because it has a nail and I need to get new tires. (working on it)
Anyways, I babied my black beauty home, went to the auto parts store, bought some STP Octane Booster (orange, Small bottle), 4-way and spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Worked on it that day and tried to do the right thing and gap them all right .035 in's, and checked the chilton (I think) book for the firing order, I even had the old wires and caps next to the new one checking as I worked.
It started right up and was not making that sound and quit sputtering so much.
Now the problem is at an idle as the truck does its cycle it feels like there is an even slight kick at the start of each cycle, barely noticeable but ever since the old trans. blew 3ed and overdrive I am hypersensitive to my truck. It hesitates a little bit and it also feels like it has not restored 100% of its power.( at least not since I have had it.) I do also know because of the age all the power will ever be fully restored.
What should I check or do???
