I have a '07 Silverado Crew Cab LTZ, Z71, 4x4, 5.3, 4l60. That's all I know. I'm looking for more info about it. Can anyone decode out my vin.

I really need to know what size Alternator is on it. As i'm looking to upgrade.

 

Look at the RPO code sticker in the glove box.

Code KG3 is the 145-amp generator. That's what's in both of my trucks - the '08 Burb and '09 Sierra.

 

I guess mine is the 145-amp also, I see the KG3 code. I'm getting ready to do the big 3 on the truck, as I'm installing a Hifonics x1000.1D amp. With all the stock wires it's pulling down the amps to low 13's. If the big 3 doesn't help I'll probably upgrade it to the 160amp alt.


I would still like to know what all the RPO codes are if someone can decode my vin.
