Default What do I need to Tow??

Okay, I have a 2008 2wd crew cab lt/2 silverado with the towing package. I want to tow my sea doos with them but never have before. Do I need any special cables or anything special to attach before I do so? Thanks.

Well you will need a ball & hitch to start, the trailer should have safety chains and a wire harness for the lights. Be sure to get the ball that is the same size as the socket on the trailer.

That should do it for you, I doubt the trailer is heavy enough to require brakes but if it does it probably has a tongue mounted surge brake.

Look around your truck, especially in your glovebox. That's where my wiring adapters were for towing when I got my truck new. I had to purchase a tongue with a 2" ball, (@20$) but that's it, besides locks, which are personal choice, and optional.
