Hi I am looking at a 2006 Silverado 2500HD EXT Cab 4x4 LT the truck is near spotless inside the bed has a few dents on it but they are minor the truck runs and drives great it has the 6.0l motor with 125K on it I love with the truck but that is a lot of miles. The used car lot is asking $ 11,888.00.

I know the 6.0 is a great motor and can go 300,000 I am just wondering what you guys think of that deal dose it sound right the dealer is pretty firm on the price.

 

125k isnt really that much. my 90 doesnt even have 100k yet. now days they make (or so they say) these trucks to last longer and 100k is usually just a pit stop.

 

have you tried blue booking it yet, I dont think there are too many used car salesmen on this site, in my opinion, better look for something wrong with it first

 

I did look it up on KBB and the numbers sound good I just want to hear from some people who know the product better the I do. I hear only good things about the 6.0 and Allison trans but have no personal experience with it. is there any think specific to this motor and trans i should check? i looked at the oil and transfluid both look good i did not find any leaks and i drove it for about an hour and didn't find anything micanicly wrong. this truck is much newer than what i am used to working on.
