Default What exhaust?

Just looking for alittle advice. I am thinking about putting a true dual exhaust on my truck. I have a 2012 Silverado 5.3. The motor is the one that drops from 8 to 4 cylinders when not used. I have heard different things. Would it be ok to just put the exhaust on or have the motor tuned to take the cylinder drop off? Any opinion is greatly appreciated since I dont know much about exhausts. Thank you in advance.

i'm running no muffler on my 2011 with the 5.3 and it's kind of noticeable when it goes to 4 cylinder mode but it's not terrible. the exhaust is definately worth it for the sound. i'm waiting for my tuner to come in through the mail, Bully Dog Triple Dog GT.

Run the duals and get the v8-v4 tuned out. It's worthless anyways
