Default What are the gear ratios on a '95 K1500?

My question is about transmision gear ratios.
So I googled it and used the search function on this site but came up empty handed.
What are the stock gear ratios on an automatic 1995 K1500 Z71 for all the gears?
Or if the ratios can vary on the same model, how can I find out what mine are?

It depends... What are your RPM's at about 70 mph? If its about 2200-2300 I am willing to bet they are 3.73. General rule of thumb, the higher the revs the higher the rear end.

It would be strange for that truck with the tow package to have anything less than that.

I think he's asking about the ratios of each gear in the transmission, not the rear diff. gearing. Am I right?

i recently decided that i wanted to try to rebuild my transmission and purchased a very interesting book about how to rebuild them, now when i recieved them book through mail, i started just flipping through it and not only did list step by step on how to rebuild select models of transmission, it also had various charts showing speed/rpm, HP/rpm, and also the transmission models gear ratio, reply the model of transmission and ill get back to you about your TRANSMISSION
