From the information I gathered in another thread, changing differential gears can run around $2000, but I could be absolutely, completely off base there. Personally, I think that's too expensive if you're just wanting to run 33"s.

i apolagise... and i really dont care about my grammer.... and i figure im runing around 250 horse power and maybe 220 torqe.... i really dont know thats just guessing i know it has enough power that if i hit 4000 rpms and it shifts in to 2nd i barc my tires doin 35-40 down the road.... about how much will 410s cost??? and i want to put 33" tires on but no bigger then that....
Personally, in my experience with everything I have done to my truck, the money I spent on gears yielded the most noticeable difference for the money other than dropping in a 383.

Its worth it and easy like Mudmaniac said from Rnadys ring and pinion I spent around 700 with shipping for my 4:56 gears but you have to include, seals, shims, diff lube and while your in there you might as well do wheal seals, and bearings!

You need to tell us a little more about the 350, what is it out of and what year.
If it is a TBI between 87 and 95 I wouldn't bother with all the work. I think you estimated that you now have about 250 hp and that's more than the stock 350 would have.

a stock 350 has 220 horse power and about 190 torqe a stock 283 has more horse power then a 350 but it has less torqe.... and the motor is either a 84-or an 85..... carb i would imgine.... the only reason i thought about doing this is because ITS A STOCK 350... i need gas mileage... i have the right TBI for the 350 i dont have the right TBI for my 283... if i can find me a good carb for cheap i would probly keep my 283 it ran way good with the carb... my carb broke though... so i changed the intake manifold and put it back to the 350 tbi and i was getting around 2-5 MPG i put a TBI off of a 87 or so 4.3l v6... it runs good now i get around 10 mpg.... and the only thing wrong with the 350 is they broke a starter bolt off..... and the 350 has around 80,000 miles on her... keep the 283??? and find a better carb to put on maybe??? could i just not be getting enough gas to pull me up a hill??? 4.7L v8 with 4.3L v6 TBI.... 4.3L is the same as a 350 just missing 2 lungs

The throttle body it's self is the same on the V6 but the injectors would be smaller and not deliver the fuel. Try the injectors from the 350 TB you have.

The 350 and 305 Tbis are the same as stated above! The only difference is your injectors. If you were to order a TBi off the internet it would say 305/350 TBi.
