Default What transmission...

How do you tell what transmission you have? I have a 1993 ½ ton 4x4, 350 TBI, auto with overdrive. I think it’s a 700r4 but not sure…

If it's the OEM trans you have a 700R4. Look at the shape of the oil pan. That's the easiest way to tell...

Actually I think GM used the 4L60E around 93 or so. It's basically a 700R4 except it's electronically controlled.

93 used 700r4 and 4l60e , they are almost identical, just some minor internal differnces but the gear ratios are the same and the compatibility is the same, google work well for questions like this
