Default what would work best

i have a 99 ext cab long bed with a 6.0 v8
im looking to put a good exaust on it
im goin to do turndowns
(i have a air intake wich to me makes the stock exaust louder)

with this type of application should i go flowmaster or magnaflow
i want a deep mellow tone all through the rpm ranges
(or anything close to it)
i deffenitly dont want the fart can sound

any opinions on wich would be best?

By mellow, do you mean something that won't pop? My Flowmaster 40's pop from backpressure after revvin' it semi-high then letting off, but they're incredibly mellow (yet aggressive) throughout the RPM range.

Magnaflow does sound fantastic, though. I love them both.

i prefer flowmaster over magnaflow. my sister had a magnaflow muffler on her tahoe and it didnt sound good. i put a 10 series flowmaster race muffler on my 5.3 and it has a low idle tone and is loud all throughout the rpm ranges. i like the tone at 2000 rpms. and it helps let other drivers know where you are if you read traffic.

yea i dont want the pop
my dad has a magnaflow cat back system on his truck
(same size engien but 03)
i like the mellow sound it gives but at 3000rpm and higher it kinda dies and goes to a race sound
a friend of mine had a flowmaster turndown on his truck it had awsome low idle but when you gave it gas it sounded horible

ive heard that magnaflow offers a deep tone
im not looking for crazy loud just loud enough

If you don't want any popping, check out the 50 and 70 series mufflers from Flowmaster.

Also, check out the Borla Turbo XL. Here is a video of it on a Titan; notice there's no popping.

The 40 and 44 Flowmasters are loud, but they pop with backpressure if you rev them up and let off. Cherrybomb?
