HI. I have a 1990 chevy silverado 1500, and i wondering how much the payload the truck can handle?

 

I would google it but I think your in the 9000 to 10000 range I think but yeah just google it.

 

9 to 10 thousand pounds sounds like a towing load to me. I think there is a stamp in the door that says what that is. A 1500 is a half ton truck, that means it will carry a 1000 pounds in the bed safely. The issue here is what the springs will take, beef up the springs and it can take a bigger load.

 

OH whoops I didn't see that minor detail, yeah 1000 pounds, but I would say not so much now considering the truck is older and springs are more worn out. But hey who looks at that kind of stuff
