Default wheel help needed

I have a 1997 Z71 and need some new tires, so I'm wondering if the newer Z71 silverados wheels will fit on my truck. this way I could get a newer wheel design and if I get lucky maybe find a set of take off's. Is the lug/offset the same for the newer silverados (Z71) and my year?

thanks for the help

i had a 96 Z71 1500
6 lug i had some aftermarkt wheels on it.
and when i sold it it went with the factory wheels but the after market ones i had been sitting
around for a while and a guy at work here bought a 07 NBS 1500 Z71 its got the 6 lug still
and well he wanted to know how a set of black wagon wheels would look like on it
well that was what i had
so we went to put them on and well they fit like a champ but a lil rub but they were 33 12.50s 15s
but a leving kit took care of that prob. so i just let him have them and he has them on his now.

LUG patterns 6 on 5.5

speedy58,

thanks for the info, sounds like the newer Silverado Z71 wheels should fit then. time to look for some take-offs.

thanks,
Glen
