Default wheels and tires

i ruined a tire on my 93 k2500 today, no big loss i had 40K miles on cheep 7 year old 6-ply tires. what brands are getting the best mileage these days. it didn't chop a single tire inside or out and had a great ride with my old tires but i dodn't think geostar was a brand that stuck around too long. also my truck is a 2500 but has the 6 bolt wheels. my neighbor's truck is a 2500 and it has 8 bolt wheels. what did they call mine a heavy half or a light 3/4? any info is gratefull thanks.

They're expensive, but I got 65k with tread to spare from my last set of E-radials. At 200$ per tire, they may not be everyone's cup of tea. I only discovered them because they came standard with my 04' -2500HD.

At 60 to 80 PSI they supply a very firm, smooth ride. They're great highway radials, but only mediocre at best off-road. They really take a beating on the asphalt.
