Default wheels and tires on a stock 01 silverado

hey you all. here are a few questions. If i were to get new wheels and tires. waht would be the most agressive looking wheel and tire combo? I was thinkin about the 285/75/16s on my stock rim. The tires i fell for were the bfg off roads. or somethin like that. Iam plannin on gettin somethinthat will kick *** in the snow. Then i was wondering if i could fit a bigger tire on there with a 15x 8 inch rim. But then i heard you cant fit a 15 inch rim on a stock silverado. any help and ideas would be great. One other thing thats not wheel and tire related. I also heard that you can pretty much drop in any chevy crate motor into a silverado with minor adjustments if any at all. .thanks you all.

I think if you use a 15 inch rim they'll rub on your brake calipers and maybe the drums(if you have drums).I'm not a 100 pecent on the drums but I bet they'll rub on the calipers. That's mainly what I've heard though.

install a leveling kit and you can run 285 75 16's 8 lug on your stock rims if you have a hd 2500. i'm not sure about other models.

well, i have actually had the 285/75/16s on my truck before. they didnt rub ornaything and i got a crap load of life outa them. you think i could fit a bigger tire on a 15x8 rim on that truck considering i ahd the 285s on my stock rim? or does the wheel size not matter in this situation?
