Will a 2003 1500 5.3l bolt in a 2000 2500

The 2000 2500 has a rod knocking and has almost 300k on it, I found a wrecked 2003 1500. Both are 5.3l will this be good swap? Will it work? I've looked online read most say 00-03 are same motor.
