will vortec 906 heads fit my engine?

I have a 96 vortec 305 that Im planning to rebuild and I want to know if the 906 vortec heads will fit my 305...also if they will, is it really worth the swap? I have heard they give a great horse power boost....any helpis appreciated!

you should already have the vortec heads. look for the casting number, it should end in 906 or 062.
