Default window switches

on my 2008 Silverado I can roll the passenger side window down but not back up from the driver side main switches. however if I hold it for a couple seconds sometimes it will go up. do I just need a new switch or something else? thanks

You can try cleaning the contacts. It's a known issue that if you open the door in the rain/snow, water can migrate into the switches, causing corrosion. I worked with the guys at Bosch on a solution for that several years ago.

Replacing the switch will surely solve the problem.

+1 on replacing the switch. You can get a replacement on amazon and ebay.
