Default Windshield Noise From Bug Deflector

Ever since I put a bug shield on my truck, I get a cracking noise that sounds like it's coming from the front of the cab. I always thought it was just the bug shield flaping around. I looked it up and it seems to be the plastic strips on the sides of the windshield making the noise. It looks like by using double stick tape or a silacone under the strips it will stop it. does anyone know if it's really the plastic strips on the sides of the windshield or just the bug sheild making noise? Thanks.

On a Classic, 2 face tape is the fix.
The GM deflector I used included it in the box!

Mine does the same thing at high speed. Sounds like rain hitting the windshield. It might not do it anymore just had a new windshield put on the truck a couple of days ago. havnt takin it on the freeway yet.

I might try the double sided tape thing or just take off the bug shield. whatever stops it

Ever since I put a weather tech hood bug deflector on my truck, it makes a sound like its raining when I drive at 60 mph or faster.
