Default Windshield Wipers

New to this forum. I decided that it was time for new wipers for my 2007 Silverado 1500 LTZ. Go to Advance Auto and get a pair of 22in wipers. Go home and try to install....lo and behold the wiper arms do not allow aftermarket wipers. To be sure thatthis was not just a new thing to me I check my wifes 2008 Tahoe and they have replaceable blades like we have used for years.
My question is....does this style mean that I have to go to the dealer for replacement wipers??? When did this style come into being.

No not the same guy....haven't heard of that site. My main forum visits are concerned with my 1970 AMX.

I had the same issue when replacing mine, all the part numbers i looked up kept giving me the old style blades, the NBS silverados have some new design. Go to an O'reilly's Auto Parts or Autozone or something and they'll have what you're looking for. I put a pair of ANCO blades on my truck, the Part Number is: C22PB 22" blades, $19.99 a piece.

Thanks for the part number. I just checked with Rock Auto and they list that number for $14.15 each. I will check the shipping versus going local.

***Just checked shipping ....$14.67, so obviously will be getting them local.

Exclamation Use Application Guide or lookup wiper size online

You can't just go by length - you have to look up the part numbers in the application guidebook at the store or nowadays you can Google wiper size'.
