wiring
hey boys..got here a 09 silverado 4x4 ext cab shortbox...4.8 liter....im installing a drop down sony dvd system for the kids...need to know where would be the best place to locate a ignition controlled wire to tap into....allready have the constant wire[red] but there is no ignition controlled wire in the area wear i located the constant.....fuse panell on driver side......i know this sounds crazy but i tested every wire about 3 times in the fuse panell area and cannot come up with a ignition controlled wire......and where i live i cannot even get a haynes or chilton repair manual....they are telling me the truck is still too new for these manuals to be printed yet??????sounds like hoarse **** to me but oh well......so any help would be awsome boys or tell me where i can get a book for this model chevy.......oh ya.....forget it about helminc.com books.....not paying $ 110.00 for 3 seconds of information.....thanks
try in the junction box to the left of the brake pedal with a test light
look in x14 pin 8
that is the one in the '07 NBS so it might be the same in your truck
the cover on the junction box looks like this

the inside of it

and the one you want is this pin 8
