Would like opinions on this trade...
Just in case you start looking again, you will most likely never get 20mpg out of any 6.0 equiped truck.
My half ton truck with the HO 6.0 will only get about 17 on the highway.
The 4l80 for most is indestructable. they came in 1500HD, 2500 (ld), and 2500HD GM trucks.
Good luck with your search

Hi bfgoodmudder,
Welcome to the Chevy forums.
IMO it's a great trade. But I happen to drive(BIG SURPRISE) a Silverado K2500. That is one sharp-looking rig.
After a couple years, the 3/4 tons usually need a little looking after. Between mods, upgrades, and maintenance, I sort of look at it as a dedicated hobby.
But when you're in traffic, all those commuters driving mid-size sedans, minivans, and subcompacts are looking at YOU, and thinking "Wow, I wish I had a BAMF truck ...".
Welcome to the Chevy forums.
