Default Xm sattelite reciever

I have a new body style 2007 silverado that did not come with sat ready radio i bought an oem sat ready cd player and i also purchased a sat reciever only it didnt come with an antenna or wire harness. Does my vehicle have the wiring to accomodate the reciever? Do I need a different antenna? The truck is a basic worktruck package

You need the harness to the radio, the antenna(which will replace the onstar antenna base on the roof), the cables to go from the antenna to the reciever, and the bracket needed to mount the reciever.

You mentioned that it isa basic work truck....do you have OnStar as an option??? If not, you need to drill a hole into the roof in order to mount the antenna

I hope you didn't buy the xm reciever used. If you did, you wasted your money. When you plug them into a vehicle, it learns the vin of that vehicle and it connot be erased\relearned. If you bought it from a legit place, see if they'll take it back in exchange for an xm upgrade kit. They come with all parts needed. And probably at a discount compared to buying everytihgn separate.
I think the last time I tried to order the harness, I was told to buy a new kit, and send my defective harness back in the kit. It is a special harness that has a "Y" connector at the radio. The part # for the kit is 17801150. I'l post a couple pics to show what our looking for
