Hey guys I need some help with my Chevy rebuild. 05 5.3 z71 4x4 I'm looking to rebuild my Chevy but I don't know which way to go. I like the way the engine performs now but I want something a little more... I've been talking to a couple of guys at the Budweiser brewery where I work and I'm looking to put a little more of a cam in it. But I don't want to loose mpg. I'm only getting about 13 in the city and maybe 17 on the highway. They told me to go with a 268 cam with about .500-.550 lift. Is this going to make me suck the gas? Or what else? help me out? What all should I do to my truck while I have it tore down?
